- A Game-Changing Technology in Healthcare
Hyderabad, India, June 4, 2025 – In a first-of-its-kind initiative in India, KIMS Sunshine Hospital, Begumpet, has launched Augmented Reality (AR)-enabled OPD services, introducing revolutionary technology that allows for real-time visualization of internal organs and conditions on the patient’s body using AR-based scans—much like a “Google Map” of the human body.
Announcing this breakthrough, Dr. A.V. Gurava Reddy, Managing Director of KIMS Sunshine Hospital, said that the hospital has taken another major step forward in embracing high-end medical technology. This innovation enables doctors to identify issues like tumours, cancers, ulcers, and other internal problems through AR-based scanning, enhancing both diagnosis and treatment planning.

The platform supports patient education, surgical planning, and consultation by converting CT and MRI data into 3D visualizations.
