Dr. Sridhar Kasturi, a distinguished figure in interventional cardiology and the Head of the department of cardiac sciences and Senior Consultant Interventional Cardiologist at KIMS-Sunshine Hospitals, Begumpet, Hyderabad, has been bestowed with the esteemed title and award of “Proud Son of Shatavahana Land in Service of the Noble Medical Profession.”
The prestigious award was presented during the 9th Indian Medical Association (IMA) Annual Telangana State Medical Conference 2025, hosted by the IMA Karimnagar Branch in the historic land of the great Certificate and Gold Medal of “Proud Son of Shatavahana Land in Service of the Noble Medical Profession”. The honour recognizes Dr. Sridhar Kasturi outstanding contributions, exemplary service, and unwavering dedication to the medical profession and society at large.
Dr. Sridhar Kasturi who also serves as the Secretary of the Interventional Cardiologists Forum, received a special certificate and medal during the inaugural ceremony. The organizing committee, including Dr. P Kishan (IMA president, Telangana), Organising Secretary Dr. Polasa Ram Kiran, and Organising Treasurer Dr. Ch Vijay Kumar, instituted this special Gold Medal award to acknowledge the exceptional service and commitment of distinguished doctors from the region.

This event is participated by IMA Telangana State past president Dwarakanath Reddy, President Dr Kishan, Secretary Dr Vijaya Kumar (president elect), V.Ashok (Secretary of IMA,Telangana), Dr Thakur dayal singh (Treasurer of IMA, Telangana), Dr. Kavvampally Satyanarayana (MLA-Manakondur) and Komati Reddy Narender Reddy.
