Hyderabad, 26th October 2026: In a proud moment for Hyderabad’s business community, T. Kishan Singh, Director of Tirumala Balaji Paper Pvt. Ltd., Hyderabad, has been elected as the 64th President of the Federation of Paper Traders Associations of India (FPTA) for the 2026–27 term. A prominent business leader with over two decades of experience in the paper and packaging industry, Kishan Singh’s election marks another significant milestone for Hyderabad’s presence in India’s paper-trading sector.

FPTA is a national-level body representing the interests of paper traders across the country, with a network of more than 10,000 traders. As President, Kishan Singh is expected to play a key role in strengthening the organisation, addressing industry challenges and creating new opportunities for the paper-trading fraternity.

His election is also a matter of pride for Hyderabad, as he becomes the fourth Hyderabad-based industry leader to head FPTA. The earlier leaders from the city who held this prestigious position were Shri Amalokchand Singhvi in 1975, Shri Govindas Rathi in 1989 and Shri Arvind Sharma in 2007.

Kishan Singh brings extensive organisational experience to the role. He has served as a Managing Committee Member of both the Telangana Paper Merchants’ Association (TPMA) and FPTA, President of TPMA, and Vice-President of FPTA. He also served for over a decade as Convener of FPTA’s Public Awareness Committee, contributing to the association’s outreach and industry engagement initiatives.

As President for 2026–27, his priorities include strengthening FPTA’s institutional framework, expanding its reach into previously untapped regions and addressing key challenges confronting paper traders. He will also work towards securing appropriate Government of India recognition for FPTA National Paper Day, to be commemorated annually, while promoting collaboration with paper-trading associations in other countries to create greater opportunities for Indian traders.

My vision is to build a stronger, more inclusive and trader-centric FPTA by expanding our national reach, strengthening international collaboration and working towards formal recognition of National Paper Day. Together, we can create greater opportunities for paper traders and contribute to the continued growth of India’s paper industry,” said T. Kishan Singh, President, FPTA, 2026–27.
