Special Campaign 6: Achievements of Department of Water Resources, River Development & Ganga Rejuvenation

Special Campaign 6 is being conducted by DoWR, RD & GR, Ministry of Jal Shakti over the period October 2nd-31st, 2026 under aegis of Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances, Government of India. The campaign aims to expedite the resolution of pending matters and promote cleanliness in government offices.

On 19.10.2026, Smt Archana Varma, Secretary, DoWR, RD & GR reviewed the progress under Special Campaign 6 with Heads/Senior Officers of all the organisations of Department. She expressed satisfaction to the efforts being undertaken by the Department and its organisations to achieve the targets for the campaign. She also emphasized that the suitable ways and means may be used to dispose the pending matters at the earliest before the Target date.

DoWR, RD & GR and its Organisations have actively taken up the campaign activities. Targets have been set activity-wise and significant progress has been achieved.

The achievements vis-à-vis targets of the Department under Special Campaign 6 as on 19.10.2026 have been as follows:

Besides, Rs 13,13,748/- of revenue has been generated through scrap disposal, 1456 physical files have been weeded out, 835 e-files have been closed and 901 sq.ft. of space has been freed.

‘Before’ and ‘After’ conditions of the sites covered under cleanliness drives are being photographed/videographed and are being uploaded on the portal of Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances (DAR&PG) regarding the campaign on daily basis.

One PIB press release and 68 tweets across various social media handles highlighting the achievements of Department/its organisations under Special Campaign 6 have been published for mass awareness.
